My artistic practice is rooted in the experience of cultural negotiation, shaped by my journey as an immigrant to the United States. Through figurative painting, I explore the complexities of experience, using the body as a vessel of history, memory, and desire. My work addresses the struggles of adapting: the longing for semblance from an incongruent past and needing to express thoughts in a new language.
In my new works, I delve into motherhood - from losing oneself adrift on hormonal shifts, to profound transformations that push the finite boundaries of the self. It explores how our identities evolve with every new landscape we inhabit, redrawing relationships with people and places.
