Statement

These self-portraits are from “With No Place to Go”, a photo series that explored my experiences following the two years after my father’s death. The project looked at how one doesn’t simply get over pervasive grief, but rather grows into and around it. How, through the lens of mourning, one starts to see death everywhere. Making this work was not just about the experience of losing my father. It also was about returning to intimacy and touch after a global pandemic.
