Odochi Akwani is a film photographer originally from Omaha, Nebraska, now based in Philadelphia. Her work focuses on documenting the rhythms of everyday life, exploring the quiet moments and vibrant expressions that define the human experience. My art is grounded in the power of storytelling through the documentation of everyday life. As a film photographer, I am driven by an innate passion for observing and capturing the rhythms of the human experience. I see the world in scenes that I aim to transform into visual narratives that feel universal. I have a strong pull to document what I see, not just for myself but for those who come after me. It anchors me in the present, compelling me to engage fully with the world around me.
